Sundre Daycare Centre: We are hiring part-time and casual early childhood educators!
The ideal candidate is recommended to have experience with a variety ages of children. The selected candidate would be expected to work 4-5 hour shifts daily Monday-Friday and would be given the opportunity to work 6-8 hour shift for sickness relief, Non-school days or field trip days.
We operate from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
(apart from statutory holidays).
Q͟u͟a͟l͟i͟f͟i͟c͟a͟t͟i͟o͟n͟s͟:͟
• A Level One childcare certification or higher (preferred not required)
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or be willing to complete their certification within 1 month of employment commencing)
• Current Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search
• Due to Licensing Regulations must be at least 18 years old
Purpose:
• Responsible to help facilitate and assist staff with planning and implementation of all activities for designated program and children of all ages
• Works directly with parents, children, and staff daily
• Responsible to all management
S͟p͟e͟c͟i͟f͟i͟c͟ ͟D͟u͟t͟i͟e͟s͟:͟
• Attendance at monthly staff meetings and at parent meetings as required
• Following the Staff Handbook for General Supervision of children
• Following Staff Handbook for General Duties of classroom clean up
• Completing observation and behavior sheets
• Attending a minimum of 8 hours of trackable Professional Development per year
• Actively assisting in promoting their program via word of mouth and social media, etc.
• Ensuring First Aid kits are stocked
