Job description
Blackstone Builders specializes in post-frame structure development around Olds and surrounding areas. We are currently looking for an experienced Construction framer/carpenter to join our growing and dynamic team.
Responsibilities
-Read blueprints
- Frame floor systems/ wall and roof trusses
- Sheeting of roof
-Measure mark surfaces to layout work according to drawings and building code
-Construct building structures and frameworks, including walls, floors, windows, doors, stairs etc.
-Measure, cut, shape, and join wood materials
-Operate various types of equipment (telehandler, skid steer)
Requirements
- Journeyperson certificate and/ or 4+ years experience and knowledge in carpentry and framing
-Strong working knowledge of the construction industry, including concrete, forming and framing
-Capable of operating various types of equipment
-Detail orientated
-Positive attitude, team player and punctual
-Must have proper personal protective equipment
-Fall protection / Elevated work platform/ telehandler and first aid tickets are an asset but not required
-Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
-Safety Conscious and willing to adhere to all safety policies and procedures
-Enjoys working outdoors and can handle various weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
