About the Role

Accredited Supports to the Community, Adult Disability Service Support, in the town of Olds is recruiting for a part time position of Community Access Passenger Driver. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator to coordinate schedules and provide transportation of clients to events and appointments.

 

Hours for this position vary and may include days, evenings, and weekends based on client needs and with the potential to work up to full time hours. Base rate is $19.26 per hour.

 

Key aspects of this role include:

· Driving passenger buses to events and appointments, supporting clients as required, load and unload passengers, and Q’Straint and cargo securement

· Coordinating locations and timelines to develop an effective schedule while ensuring safe and timely arrival to appointments and events

· Maintaining the passenger buses including fueling, cleaning, stocking supplies, and driving to required maintenance and repair appointments

· Following all related policy to stay in compliance with Transportation Legislation (daily trip inspections, daily logbook, and completing reports)

· Encouraging and facilitating clientele to participate in their everyday activities and focus on their goals

Requirements:

· Must be over 22 years of age

· Have a class 1, 2, or 4 licence or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years as a licensed driver

· Must provide a claims experience letter from insurance company confirming 3 years of claim/accident free

· Current clean commercial driver’s abstract and safe driving skills

· Current and clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check

· Previous experience with driving passenger vehicles is an asset
